I met Narelle through Clickin Moms and she is a lovely little photographer.

I “knew” her from the forum, but really got to know her better through Instagram.

A while back, I posted a shot of the girls having s’mores in San Francisco. Narelle made a comment that she had no idea what s’mores were.

And also? She didn’t understand that whole “drinking out of glass jars with straws” either.

Well.

We all know what I had to do.

When someone says they haven’t had s’mores before?

YOU SEND THEM S’MORES!

I can’t tell you how giddy we all were to pack those goodies up and mail them to The Land Down Under.

The girls just giggled and giggled with happiness! It was the cutest thing ever.

Our little box traveled all the way over there, hopped the International Date Line AND changed seasons, even!

I guess you may be thinking that that’s the end of the story.

Well it IS NOT!

Guess what arrived on our doorstep a few days back?!?!

A package full of goodies from The Bailey’s!!!

Oh.My.Word.

I have NEVER seen my girls tear into a box so fast in their little lives.

I think Allison nearly kissed the USPS gal.

Inside that sweet little box were chocolates (YUM!!!!), Tim Tams (double YUM!!!), books, books and more books, and…..get this…..VEGEMITE!!!

{I advise you to eat the Vegemite with caution, all you Americans. It’s not jelly, nor is it jam, nor is it cocktail sauce. It is, in fact, vegemite and it is most definitely an acquired taste. Narelle asked for a picture of me tasting it for the first time. HA!!}

My girls sat there for over an hour reading book after book after book. And eating chocolates and Tim Tams like they were never going to eat again. Ever.

I am so very thankful for our new friends in Australia. And to think, I never would have even found sweet Narelle had it not been for online forums and social media.

See? Social media IS good.

No wait.

It’s GREAT.
