It’s that time again!
Here I am with my CMpro buddies and our monthly blog circle!
Man. I love those guys.
After you have a peek at my images, head over to see my sweet and talented Oklahoma friend, April.
This month was all about a new perspective and I need to be flat out honest with you.
I didn’t have any clue on how to shoot this. These images look much like my usual work.
Honestly? I didn’t have time for a reshoot so this is all that I had to work with.
Once I started editing them? I realized that I DID have an interesting perspective.
Just not in the “shoot in a different way” idea.
For me, these shots are about being a mommy. About having little people around. About how my life was plain and white without them. How they bring color and joy and happiness to me and their daddy. How dribbling color all over the floor, napkins and the dog make everything more lovely.
Think of me and their daddy as those boring old eggs in that carton. See how we started out?
Blah.
We were missing something. Our lives are like those eggs….
from blah to beautiful.
Look where we started.
And notice where we’re ending up.
They are dribbling color all over us and changing us for the better.
That? Is my interesting perspective.
Love your different perspectives! Looks like so much fun!
sooo clever, melissa… and so, so true!!! some days i feel like motherhood makes me like the dropped egg on the floor! tomorrow, i’m going to be the bright pink one! 🙂
You have a way of capturing details and fleeting moments like no other!!!
And I love this perspective….. so very true!!!
xoxo,
Lisa
Adore the B&W shot with your dog in it near the bottom! Wonderful perspective, too. 😀
oh my goodness these are so great! the lines, the color, the angles, the light…in LOVE! great job as usual!
Oooooo, these are so lovely, Melissa! Really love how you sprinkled in a couple of OOF ones 🙂 The one where your puppy is peeking at the top of the table is so cute!
You are one of my favorite storytellers Melissa! Love your (always awesome) angles, color vs. monochrome, adorable subjects and of course your words!
Melissa, these are wonderful!!!! And your words so beautiful, as always…
These are wonderful. Y’all had so much fun! thanks for sharing.
Beautiful perspective–your words and your images!
“They are dribbling color all over us and changing us for the better”……MWAH!!! I love this, I love them, and I love you! Beautiful analogy and I adore the mix of b/w & color here. Perfection <3
