Clickin’ Moms is a private online photography forum. It is…I must say…the greatest online forum you will ever run across. I have been a member there for just over two years and it is where I have made the most growth as a photographer. I started out there in the beginning of my art and ended up growing and learning so much that I was accepted as a CMpro back in November. Yes. I cried. I am sitting in Pro with so many amazing artists and I am honored to be among them. (I often wonder if they sent the acceptance email to the wrong Melissa. I simply can’t believe I’m there!) There are tons and tons of tutorials on CM. Members that will go above and beyond to help and give advice. Pros that treat the newbies just wonderfully…answering questions and giving tips. The friends I have made there are just the sweetest and I am so thankful for such a place where I can share my love of photography with other moms (and some that aren’t moms, too).
Recently, I was able to take a four week course from Clickin’ Moms. It was Shooting 301 Composition and Creativity.
It.Was.Amazing.
The greatest class ever. Honestly. Fantastic assignments, wonderful PDFs, helpful and honest advice, amazing teacher assistants and a superb instructor, Sarah Wilkerson.
I simply can’t say enough good things about this course. (Did I use the word ‘amazing’ enough?)
I wanted to share some of my favorite images from Shooting 301. You may have seen a couple from the blog already, but I wanted to make sure I had my favorites all in one spot here.
Now…make sure you head on over to Clickin’ Moms and check it out. I assure you that you won’t be disappointed.
What a heartfelt and beautiful post, Melissa. I have admired your work for a long time and I must say, I am just loving your use of negative space in the images above. I feel so fortunate to have found you and to be able to enjoy your work and your friendship! xoxo
LOVE all of these- I can’t wait till I am quick enough to get in 301! I am always too slow!
