Today we started out with Lego building in the kitchen while eating breakfast. All three of you girls were in on this after just a few minutes. There was a helicopter, police station and car. Hmmm…getaway car, maybe? Am I sensing a theme here?
After Lego time and breakfast, we headed to Uncle Steve’s house for Thanksgiving dinner with the family. We saw the horses, ate and ate and ate, played with the cousins and chit-chatted with the family. Emily, you watching out for the three horses and talked to them quite a bit. You also played with the littlest cousins and played sidewalk chalk with them. Allison, I noticed you also playing with the cousins and chalk. You tend to hang out with the ‘older’ little kids…loving the 2-5 range. Caroline, you and Ella. What else is there to say? You two were all over the place. Jumping over the creek and running around like loons.
It was so great to be able to see Stephanie and Jonathan and the girls, Kristen and David and their little ones and Aunt Pam and Uncle Steve. Uncle Steve typed on his machine to tell us his thoughts on the college football games coming up. He said for Daddy to NOT watch the Auburn/Alabama game so that he wouldn’t jinx them or be upset later. He also said the words ‘if GA Tech wins it will be a miracle’. Ha! I’m pulling for the underdogs! (Go TECH and WAR EAGLE!) Uncle Steve has ALS and the disease is progressing pretty quickly, it seems. Being able to spend time with one of our favorites is such a blessing to us all.
Plus! We got to hang out with Nanny, Aunt Sue Sue, Uncle Todd and all of their cute little gang! What a fun, fun time we had at Uncle Steve’s house.
Afterward, we headed back home and went ice skating. You three did great!! Then, we took a short walk to see the new Peanuts movie. What a great, great day we all had. (and girls…it was so warm to be the end of November! We were HOT outside today and it was gorgeous!)
