I thought I would share my settings and a pullback of a recent shot of Caroline.

I very often take photos of my girls in this little spot in our kitchen.

My settings here were: 1/250 sec; f/1.8; ISO 400 and I used a 35mm 1.4.

I spot metered off of her cheek that’s closest to the window light.

This is the unedited image.

 

 

Here is the pullback.  I’m standing in the X spot and Caroline is the smiley face.  🙂

I had her sit at just a bit of an angle to the window.
