We have a creek in our backyard with a lake about…well, way far away.  Far enough away that we aren’t lake front property, but close enough that we can see it in the winter.

We also have a beaver family back there.  When they start their dam building stuff?

THEN we have lake front property.

It’s nice and all….

…if you like HUGE mosquitoes and swampy grass.

On this day, my husband and two out of three girls made their way through the swampiness to break down the beaver dam.
