She is my girl that hates to be photographed so I didn’t bug her at all on her big day OR her party day.

We rented a giant inflatable slip-n-slide and ….

…wait

I just have to say…

remember the good old days? When the slip-n-slide was a huge piece of plastic that you just put in the yard?

Sliding was dangerous because there were rocks and sticks under you?

And landing at the end was just plain gross because of all the mud from where your dad cut the grass too low?

Oh. And let’s not forget the fact that the yard sprinkler was positioned just “so” in order to make it more watery?

And…. and? There was the dish soap.

Yeah.

It’s not like that in 2012.

In 2012 your little ones need a step stool to get on the slip-n-slide.

And it’s bouncy.

And causes great and wonderful green color casts for the parent who is trying to sneak in snaps of the birthday girl.

Which? Is the main reason I converted the image to black and white.
