The Way I View Summer Life

It’s time for this month’s The Way I View… blog post. The theme for the month is Summer Life.

During our summers I like to take the girls on teeny little mini vacations.

Day trips, I guess you could say.

The teacher in me likes to keep it educational, but the kid in me wants it to be fun, too.

At least once a week I take them somewhere super rad.

Why?

‘Cause I’m rad like that.

*snerk*

This week we went on a tour of CNN. The girls went “behind the scenes” as Allison said.

They saw real “alive” anchor people giving the news in real “alive” time.

It was super neat, if I do say so myself.

Afterwards? We went to play in the Olympic fountains at Centennial Olympic Park.

Because the Olympics are going on over there in London, of course.

And if you can’t make it to the actual Olympic Games….you just go to the Olympic park in The Big City.

That’s educational, too, right?

{I didn’t tell them about how Atlanta was probably one of the worst Olympics ever…because of that stupid bomber guy that bombed the very park we were playing in.}

And for lunch?

The largest drive-thru fast food restaurant in the world…The Varsity.

Where they had fun saying “I’ll have a naked dog and fries”.

And after that? I taught them a little lesson in citizenship by taking them to the polling place with me.

Summer life to me? Is fun mini trips with my best girls.
