Sunday Morning

On this sweet, sweet Sunday I (and your Daddy) woke up with a hankerin’ for pancakes. Everyone slept in a bit and all of us woke up around the same time.

All I really had to do was say, ‘I think I’ll make some pancakes for us’.

Before I knew it, you three were in the kitchen mixing, baking, and setting the table.

Emily, you took charge of the pancakes.

Caroline, you jumped in with making your favorite cinnamon streusel muffins.

Allison, you chose to set the table and even put out name cards for everyone.

Max, as usual, decided to go from inside to outside….to inside to outside….

You three worked so hard and it was just the sweetest. You even cleaned up the mess as you went along. Wiping the counters and putting things away.

The pancakes, muffins, and table setting were just perfect!

There are no pictures of us eating because…..well….because food.

Love this so much, Melissa! You captured the moment down to the details. When your kids are grown, and look back on this post, I can only imagine how these photos and words will bring it all back to life for them. Priceless. (and all the beautiful light and shadows in your photos… gorgeous as always)
